Getting Started
Listub is an all-in-one organization app that brings your everyday lists, plans, and documents together in one place. It offers a growing collection of modules - from Shopping List and Task Manager to Travel Hub and Health Cabinet - organized in shareable rooms, so you can manage everything alone or together with family, friends, and colleagues in real time.
We recommend creating your account in the Listub web app first: click "Sign Up" and enter your first and last name, email address, password, country, and preferred language. After verifying your email, simply log in with the same account on any of your devices - whether iOS, Android, or the web.
After signing up, you will receive a 6-digit PIN sent to your email address. Enter this PIN on the verification screen within the app to verify your account. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or request a new PIN from the app.
Listub is available everywhere: for iOS (iPhone and iPad) on the App Store, for Android on Google Play, as a web app in your browser, and as desktop apps for macOS, Windows, and Linux. With a Premium or Family plan, everything stays in sync across all your devices.
Yes. The Basic plan is completely free, requires no credit card, and includes every module. It works offline on a single device with up to 10 rooms. If you want cloud sync, real-time sharing, and multi-device access, you can upgrade to Premium or Family at any time.
Listub is currently available in 15 languages - including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, and more - in both the app and on the website. You choose your preferred language during sign-up and can change it anytime in the settings.
After verifying your email, set up your profile, then create your first room - for example a "Groceries" room with the Shopping List module. Add entries yourself or ask Lumi, the built-in AI assistant, to do it for you. You can invite family or friends to any room to collaborate in real time.
Account & Security
Listub protects your account with email-based verification. When you sign in from a new device, a 6-digit PIN is sent to your email address and must be entered before the device gets access. You can manage your trusted devices in the security settings.
Yes, you can change your email address and password in your account settings under the "Profile" section. Remember to save your changes and verify your new email address if you update it.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password". Enter your email address and we'll send you a verification code. Enter the code in the app and choose a new password. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder or request a new code.
Log in and go to your profile settings, select "Delete Account", confirm your password, and verify via a PIN sent to your email. Your account then enters a 30-day recovery window during which you can restore it by simply logging in again. After 30 days, your account and all data are permanently and irreversibly deleted.
Your data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Listub runs on secure AWS infrastructure protected by Cloudflare, with DDoS protection, regular backups, and 24/7 monitoring, and is GDPR compliant. For security questions you can reach us at security@listub.com.
Yes. You can upload a profile picture (up to 4MB), change your display name, set your preferred language, and fine-tune your notification preferences - all under profile settings.
Plans, Pricing & Billing
Listub has three plans. Basic (free): every module, offline use on 1 device, up to 10 rooms as owner, and limited Listub AI - your data lives locally on your device, without cloud storage. Premium: cloud sync and real-time sharing, a generous Listub AI allowance, up to 50 rooms as owner, unlimited rooms as member, 1GB cloud storage, and 3 devices. Family: everything in Premium for up to 4 members, with up to 100 rooms per member, shared storage, and 5 devices per member. You can compare everything in detail on our Plans page.
Premium plans add cloud sync, sharing and collaboration, multi-device access, activity logs and automatic cloud backup, plus higher room limits, a generous Listub AI allowance, priority support and early access to new features. Premium users also unlock extra in-app options - like changing the style of their modules, adding images to entries, and more - which you'll find in the app settings. Every module itself is free on all plans.
The Family plan covers you plus 3 additional members - 4 people in total. Each member gets full Premium features, up to 100 rooms, their own contact allowance, and up to 5 devices, while storage is shared across the family. It's the most affordable way for a household to use Listub together.
Navigate to the menu and select the "Subscription" page. From there, choose the plan that suits you best and complete the payment - it works the same whether you're on mobile or on the web, using the payment method available on your platform.
You can cancel anytime, wherever you subscribed - through your subscription settings on mobile or on the web. You keep your premium features until the end of the current billing period, after which your account switches back to the free Basic plan and your cloud data is archived for 180 days (see "What happens to my data if I downgrade" below).
When you downgrade, your cloud data is archived for 180 days. During that time you have three options: resubscribe and get everything back exactly as it was, continue on the free plan with up to 10 rooms stored locally on your device, or delete all your data yourself. After 180 days, the archive is permanently deleted.
Refunds depend on where you subscribed. Purchases made on mobile are handled according to the refund policies of the respective app store, while subscriptions purchased on the web are handled by us directly - just contact us at support@listub.com and we'll help you.
Rooms & Collaboration
Rooms are the spaces where everything in Listub happens. Each room runs one module - for example a "Weekly Groceries" Shopping List room or a "Trip to Italy" Travel Hub room. You can keep rooms private or share them, and every member sees changes in real time.
On the free Basic plan you can own up to 10 rooms. Premium raises this to 50 rooms, and the Family plan allows up to 100 rooms per member. Joining rooms that others have shared with you doesn't count against your owned-room limit on paid plans.
Open the room you want to share, tap on the three dots in the top-right corner, and select "Manage Members". Invite people from your friends list and send the invitations. A room can hold up to 20 people including the owner and pending invites. Note that sharing requires a Premium or Family plan.
Yes, if you're the room owner or have admin privileges, you can remove members by going to "Manage Members" and selecting the remove option next to their name.
Open the room, tap on the three dots, select "Leave Room", and confirm your decision. Note that if you're the owner, you'll need to transfer ownership or delete the room.
Yes. Every room has an activity log that records all changes - what was added, edited, or removed, by whom, and when. This makes it easy to keep track in busy shared rooms.
Yes. Completed or inactive rooms can be archived to keep your home screen tidy. Archived rooms keep all their data and can be unarchived anytime.
Modules
Listub's modules include Shopping List, Task Manager, Magnet Notes, Quick Notes, Note Base, Doc Station, Activity Planner, Travel Hub, Subscription Central, Debt Ledger, Bucket List, Wishlist Box, Emergency Contacts, Health Cabinet, and Meal Planner - and we keep adding new ones. All modules are included on every plan, including the free one.
Create shopping lists with quantities, units, stores, and labels, and share them with family or roommates. Everyone sees updates in real time, so items never get bought twice - and the Meal Planner can feed ingredients straight into your shopping list.
Magnet Notes are colorful sticky-style notes pinned to your home screen. Quick Notes capture short thoughts of up to 120 characters with one tap. Note Base is the full notes module with rich text formatting and tags for longer, structured notes.
Doc Station securely stores important documents like passports, IDs, and certificates, organized by category and with optional expiry-date reminders. Files are stored encrypted; uploads can be up to 20MB per document and 4MB per image.
Debt Ledger tracks who owes whom. Use it solo to track personal IOUs, one-on-one with a friend as a shared contract, or in a group to split shared expenses - with repayment tracking so balances always stay clear.
Travel Hub is your trip headquarters. Plan trips with destinations, dates, and currencies, and organize everything in one place: itinerary, baggage checklists, travel documents, expenses, and emergency information - shareable with your travel companions.
Health Cabinet tracks medications, vitamins, and supplements with schedules, reminders, and refill tracking - shareable with your family. Meal Planner organizes meals by day and type (breakfast, lunch, dinner), stores notes and recipes, and connects with the Shopping List for ingredients.
Wishlist Box lets you create wishlists for birthdays, weddings, or any occasion. Add items with multiple stores and prices, and share your list via a public link - friends can view it without needing a Listub account.
Yes. You can enable or disable any module in your setup so your home screen only shows what you actually use. Most modules also offer their own settings and customization options.
Yes, we're continuously developing new modules based on user feedback. New modules are included for all plans, including the free one.
Listub AI (Lumi)
Lumi is Listub's built-in AI assistant. Instead of tapping through menus, just type or speak what you want in plain language - "Add milk, eggs, and coffee to my shopping list" - and Lumi does it for you, in your language.
Lumi can create entries in any module, find things you've saved ("Which restaurants did I mark as favorites?"), and take actions like marking tasks done, removing items, or updating expenses. It works from the home screen bar or directly inside any room.
Yes. The free Basic plan includes limited Listub AI usage, while Premium and Family plans come with a far more generous allowance that comfortably covers everyday use. There's no separate credit system to manage - it's part of your plan.
Yes. Lumi replies in your language and adapts to your region, so dates, currencies, and suggestions feel natural wherever you are.
Friends & Contacts
Add friends by their username or by sharing your friend code. Once connected, you can invite them to rooms, assign tasks, split expenses, and share lists with one tap.
The Basic plan includes up to 10 family and friends contacts, Premium up to 20, and the Family plan up to 50 per member. Contacts can be organized with names, categories, descriptions, and contact details.
Yes. Privacy controls let you manage what you share with each contact. People only see the rooms you've explicitly invited them to - nothing else.
Sync, Devices & Offline
Yes. Listub is built offline-first: you can create and edit everything without an internet connection. On the free plan you work fully offline on one device; on Premium and Family, your offline changes sync automatically to the cloud and your other devices as soon as you're back online.
The free Basic plan works on 1 device. Premium supports up to 3 devices simultaneously, and the Family plan up to 5 devices per member. All devices stay in sync in real time.
Yes - on every plan, including the free one. Listub automatically backs up your data to the cloud once a week. On the free plan you see your latest weekly backup; Premium and Family users see up to 4 backup versions. You can also back up manually (limited per plan) - a manual backup goes into the same pool, so on the free plan it replaces the backup you see.
When you log in on a new device, Listub automatically offers to restore your latest backup, with a progress bar while it runs. On Premium and Family you can also pick an older version to restore - up to 4 versions are kept - while the free plan restores the most recent one.
The free Basic plan works locally on your device and doesn't include cloud storage. Premium and Family plans include 1GB of cloud storage for your documents and images (shared across family members). Individual uploads are limited to 20MB per document and 4MB per image.
Notifications
Listub keeps you informed three ways: in-app notifications for friend requests, room invites, and activity updates; push notifications for time-sensitive things like task deadlines and reminders; and optional email digests summarizing your activity.
Yes. In the notification settings you can turn each channel (in-app, push, email) on or off and fine-tune which activity types you want to hear about.
Check your device's notification settings for Listub and ensure they're enabled. Also verify your in-app notification preferences in the settings menu. If you're missing email notifications, check your spam folder.
Rewards & Affiliate Program
The Rewards Program lets you earn by inviting friends to Listub. Referred friends get a discount on premium plans, and your referrals count toward unlocking the affiliate program. A points shop with daily rewards and exclusive perks is coming soon.
First, refer 10 verified users through the Rewards Program to unlock the affiliate application. Submit your application with your audience details; our team reviews it within about 5-7 business days. Once approved, you get your own affiliate dashboard and a custom discount code.
Affiliates earn a lifetime 5% commission on every payment made by users who subscribed with their code - including renewals. People who use your code also get a permanent 10% discount on their subscription, making it a win for everyone.
The affiliate dashboard gives you real-time analytics, an overview of your subscribers and earnings, payment tracking, and tools like deep links and promotions to grow your audience.
Troubleshooting & Support
First, try restarting your device and updating the app to the latest version. If the problem persists, clear the app cache or reinstall the app. Contact our support team if issues continue.
Make sure you're on a Premium or Family plan (the free plan doesn't include cloud sync), that all devices are logged into the same account, and that they have an internet connection. Offline changes sync automatically once you're back online; if something still looks stuck, force-close and reopen the app.
Ask the sender to double-check your exact username or friend code, and check your in-app notifications. Also make sure neither of you has reached a plan limit, such as the maximum number of contacts or the 20-member limit per room.
